Erin Caldwell, the founder and managing editor of Forward, graduated Cum Laude from Auburn University in May 2006 with a degree in public relations and an emphasis in marketing.

Currently, she is an account executive with the online advocacy group in Edelman's Washington, DC, office.

Prior to joining Edelman she interned with Camp ASCCA in Jackson's Gap, Ala., where she managed the camp blog, produced brochures and other layout projects, and assisted with the general PR needs of the camp. Erin also interned with New Communications, LLC of Palo Alto, Calif., and the Society of New Communications Research, with whom she helped produce the New Communications Forum in Palo Alto.

While most of her experience lies in new communications and social media, Erin is more interested in how these new tools are changing how we do business and how they fit into a comprehensive PR strategy. She is also passionate about helping people embrace new media and is enthusiastic when it comes to making technology less intimidating and more accessible to those who can benefit from it.
