What is a blog?
Very simply put, a weblog (shortened to "blog") is a site that publishes articles periodically and allows visitors to comment on those articles.

How is it different from a message board?
Well, only a select group of people (or one individual, in many cases) can post topics. With message boards, pretty much anyone can start a new thread and then anyone else can comment and take part in the discussion. In the Forward Blog, only our contributors post, but anyone can comment. Also, with messages boards, the initial post is usually rather short. Blog posts tend to be longer and more in-depth -- like articles.

So what's so great about it?
Conversation, for one thing! Plus, you can subscribe to the blog's feed and receive notification when something new is posted. (Read more about the use of an aggregator here.)

How do I use the Forward Blog?
Our blog has several categories to make it easy to find posts on specific topics. Posts are also archived by date, so you can choose to view all the posts from a specific month. The first page of the blog, the one you will see when you initially enter that part of the site, will list the most recent posts in all categories. Navigation for viewing posts by category or date is on the right side of the page. To comment on a post, simply click on the comment link at the end of the post and then fill out the comment form and click submit.
